On Sunday, November 25, 2012 Christopher Columbus Assembly #2349 presented a $500.00 scholarshiptoSeminarian Adam Blatt at St. Eugene Parish.  Many thanks to  Pastor Rev. George George E. Koeune  and the parhsioners of St. Eugene parish for their suport of our Assembly and for their invitation to present the check to Seminarian Adam at their parish. 

Adam Blatt (Biography)
My name is Adam Blatt. I was born 28 January 1982 and grew up in
Georgia. I have 3 younger brothers still living there. In 2000 I joined the Air
Force and served as an aircraft mechanic for 6 years. At the end of my
enlistment I made the decision to enter into seminary. I joined the
Archdiocese of Atlanta and came to Chicago to study at St. Joseph College
Seminary. After about 2 years studying for Atlanta, and learning more
about the proper ways in which to discern God's will in my life, I made the
decision to transfer permanently to the Archdiocese of Chicago. I truly
believe this is where God has called me to serve. I finished with another 2
years at St. Josephs where I got a degree in philosophy and a minor in
cultural anthropology. After college seminary I was accepted at University
of St Mary of the Lake Seminary here in Mundelein. I am currently in my
second year of theology here at Mundelein and will be entering into my
internship this spring. God willing I will be ordained
